StayIQ legal

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2 August 2026. This policy explains StayIQ’s current product practices in plain language. Before a public paid launch, the operator’s legal name, contact details, and this wording must be reviewed by an Australian privacy professional.

The information we handle

StayIQ handles the information needed to provide your account and workspace: account details such as your name and email address; property, booking, pricing, expense, maintenance and contact data that you enter; and requests or feedback you send to support. If you add guest or contact details, you are responsible for ensuring that you are permitted to provide that information to StayIQ.

We also process limited technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as authentication session data, error information and the pages or actions used within your account. We do not operate advertising or third-party ad-tracking tools, and we do not sell personal information.

How information is collected

Most information comes directly from you when you create an account, use the workspace, upload a photo, contact support, or choose to import data. Where a connected provider or licensed market-data provider is enabled in the future, StayIQ may receive the information that you authorise it to provide. Example listings used in Demo Mode are clearly labelled and kept separate from live market data.

Why we use it

We use information to authenticate you, operate and secure your workspace, calculate the reports and estimates you request, send the notifications you choose to receive, respond to support requests, and improve reliability. StayIQ scores and projections assist research only; they do not make legal, lending, tenancy or investment decisions about you or on your behalf.

Service providers and disclosure

StayIQ currently uses Supabase for authentication, database and storage services. If configured, PostHog receives limited product analytics from approved product events only (not session replay, heatmaps, advertising tracking or form contents); Resend sends product emails and Sentry receives application error reports. Stripe will process payment details only after billing is enabled; StayIQ does not store card numbers. These providers process information only to help run their respective services. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect the service and its users.

Some providers may process information outside Australia. PostHog Product Analytics is configured for its EU Cloud region. Before paid launch, StayIQ will publish the applicable provider locations and any required cross-border privacy details.

Cookies and security

StayIQ uses essential authentication cookies so you can sign in and remain signed in. We use access controls and other reasonable technical measures to protect account data, but no online service can promise absolute security. Please keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

Your choices and requests

You can manage product emails in Settings > Email Preferences. You can request access to or correction of your personal information, a copy of account data, or account deletion in Settings > Privacy. Export and deletion requests are currently reviewed by a person rather than processed instantly. We keep information only for as long as needed for the service, legitimate operational purposes, or legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it where appropriate.

Questions or complaints

Send a privacy question or complaint through the Help Centre’s Contact Support form, including enough detail for us to respond. We will review it and reply through the email address associated with your account. You may also have the right to raise a privacy concern with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as StayIQ changes. The date above shows when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated in the product where reasonably practical.
